Privacy Policy

Fabbrica edit is a private, self-hosted publishing tool. It is used exclusively by its owner to prepare and upload videos to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube accounts that belong to the owner. It is not offered to the public and has no external users.

What data the tool handles

• Account credentials: OAuth access and refresh tokens granted by TikTok, Instagram and Google/YouTube for the owner's own accounts. They are stored on the owner's computer, in a local configuration file, and are used only to upload and manage the owner's videos.
• Public profile information of the connected accounts (display name, avatar, channel title and id, privacy options) as returned by the platform API, shown to the owner before each post.
• The videos and captions the owner chooses to publish.
• Comments left on the owner's own videos (text, author display name, time), read so that the owner can see and answer them from one place.

YouTube API Services

Fabbrica edit uses YouTube API Services (YouTube Data API v3) to upload videos to the owner's YouTube channels, to identify the connected channel, to read the comments posted on the owner's own videos and to post replies, likes and subscriptions on the owner's explicit command. By using the tool the owner agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. The data handled by Google is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

• Data accessed through the API: the id and title of the channels the owner connects; the metadata of the owner's uploads; the comment threads on the owner's own videos. No data about other YouTube users is collected beyond the public comments they leave on the owner's videos, and those are shown only to the owner.
• Data stored: the OAuth refresh token of each connected channel, the channel id, the ids of the videos uploaded and the ids of the comments already shown (so that a comment is not shown twice). Everything is stored on the owner's own computer and nowhere else.
• Data sharing: none. YouTube data is never sold, shared, transferred or used for advertising. It is not combined with data from other sources and is not used for any purpose other than operating the tool for the owner.
• Refresh and retention: comments are refreshed every three hours. Comment ids are kept only for de-duplication; tokens are kept only while the channel stays connected and are deleted when the owner disconnects the channel.
• Revoking access: the owner can revoke the tool's access to any Google account at any time from the Google security settings page (third-party apps with account access). Revoking access invalidates the stored token immediately.

What the tool does not do

• It does not collect, store or process data about other TikTok, Instagram or YouTube users, except the public comments they leave on the owner's own videos.
• It does not sell, share or transfer any data to third parties.
• It does not use tracking, advertising or analytics services.
• It does not publish anything without an explicit action by the owner for each post.

Storage, retention and deletion

All data stays on the owner's own hardware. Tokens are kept only as long as the account stays connected and can be revoked at any time from the platform (TikTok app: Settings → Security → Manage app permissions; Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites; Google: the security settings page linked above) or by disconnecting the account in the tool. Any stored data can be deleted by the owner at any time by deleting the local files; requests about stored data can also be sent to the contact below.
